Today’s Cartoons With a Robot moment comes from the faraway land of confusion and imagination. Animator David O’ Reilly is known for his odd ball humor and atypical storytelling. Last year he gained mainstream notoriety for serving as the animation director on the Spike Jonze film Her( remember the videogame scenes?), and for directing, producing and animating the Adventure Time episode, ‘A Glitch Is A Glitch.’ His trademark stripped down 3d aesthetic has allowed him play with storytelling structure, varying from the typical to the absurd in content & execution. Expectations are non-existent with O’ Reilly. As with his latest gem, THE HORSE RAISED BY SPHERES.
