Eleven Returns in The Final Stranger Things Season 2 Trailer!

It’s 1984 in the town of Hawkins, Indiana, and with Halloween just around the corner, so is the follow-up season to Netflix’ smash hit, 2016’s Stranger Things! If you haven’t yet finished Season 1, beware, for there be spoilers!

At the conclusion of last season, Will Byers is rescued after the defeat of the Demogorgon. In doing so we lose another, now trapped presumably forever in a parallel dimension. Characters within the town, and fans in the real world wondered if we’d ever seen the enigmatic Eleven ever again, though Chief Hopper was ever hopeful — he was seen putting Eggo-brand waffles in a forest drop box, in case there was a chance she was still out there. The final trailer for the October 27th release begins on site at the aforementioned drop box, as Eleven, played once again by Millie Bobby Brown (Modern Family, Godzilla: King of the Monsters) opens the box, views its contents, then cautiously absconds with its contents before scurrying back into the snowy woods. Though last year’s ending was bittersweet for many reasons, things don’t appear to have gotten much better for “El.” Throughout Hawkins, residents’ homes are in plain view, showing off the Halloween decorations as we see David Harbour (Banshee, Hellboy) and Winona Ryder (Beetlejuice, Alien: Resurrection) reprising their roles as Chief Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers, Will’s mother. The time Will spent in “The Upside Down” came with a few unexpected side effects, as hinted in the Season 1 finale, though now he suffers psychological trauma in the form of nightmares. Hopper and Joyce soon come to the realization that the dreams may be signs of something far more sinister.

With the majority of the Season 1 cast (minus poor Barb) returning, Lucas, Dustin, and Mike and will be joined by newcomers from across the generational spectrum as the threat experienced in Season 1 was far bigger that anyone has realized. Returning cast also including Charlie Heaton (The New Mutants) Natalia Dyer (Hannah Montana: The Movie) and Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings Trilogy) with newcomer, Sadie Sink (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) playing Max.

As referenced in the first teaser, the world is turning upside down, and this time it may take the entire town of Hawkins, Indiana to stop it. Always bet on Eleven as Stranger Things returns, Friday October 27th on Netflix.
