Scandal’s End: S7, Ep 9 “Good People” (RECAP)
Rowan and Olivia were once upon a time. In another life before the lust for power became too strong. Before Command took hold. Father and daughter were once good people. And for Quinn’s sake, we hope some good still resides.

Scandal returned with a throwback Thursday episode detailing what actually happened to Quinn. From her wedding day kidnapping, to her assumed end, we saw everything leading up to a certain point. Quinn was ultimately a pawn in the Pope’s familial game.
A particular game of thrones for control. Rowan snatched Quinn because Liv held his freedom – and bones – from him. He essentially had enough. He purchased a luggage bag and somehow folded a very pregnant bride like one’s weekend attire through Martha’s Vineyard. Rowan began bluffing, yes. But when Olivia refused to cooperate – they both faced a darkness neither wanted to enact.

Fifty-seven hours pass. Quinn remains secluded in a bunker below Rowan’s home. She can hear him and Liv fight over her very life, her future suspended in the balance. Liv remains stoic in her stance, forcing Rowan’s hand. Her and her unborn child’s lives in their greedy hands.
Her mind racing to survive, she with the help of her gladiators pieces her options. And then boom – the baby comes. Rowan proves he isn’t a complete monster, bringing forth the life Quinn and Charlie created. A daughter no doubt. I can’t help but think he somehow saw Olivia in this little girl as a second chance at getting it right.

As for Quinn, Rowan also seemed to miraculously form a heart. Those gun shots Olivia heard crashing below the living room did not penetrate Quinn’s body. They didn’t snuff her life. Is Quinn dead? And if so when did she perish? Good people want to know.
Scandal’s final season continues to push the limit for our gladiator in the White Hat. With the end nigh, no telling what color the hat will be as TGIT’s gallant series closes in April.
