The way to revolution may be through cryptocurrency.
“We need to do something. We need to stop talking about this and take action. There’s something we have to do. We can’t just sit here and watch this happen to us anymore.” ~ Every African-American in the U.S.
I’m here to talk about HOW to move towards this point in a way that you haven’t discussed. So, let’s get the elephant in the room out of the way:
SO…peanut butter, the gas mask, traffic lights, carbon filaments for light bulbs, the artificial pacemaker, 3 of 9 original IBM patents, the laser cataracts probe, 3-D computer graphics, the Super Soaker, the X-ray spectrometer, chemical synthesis, mobile refrigeration, the ultraviolet camera, large scale blood banks, automatic elevator doors, the modern day microphone, the mathematical calculations to get us to the fucking Moon, Jazz, the Blues, Hip Hop, Rock and Roll, beating Hitler’s guys at EVERY Sport, Buffalo Soldiers, the Harlem Hellfighters, the Tuskegee Airmen, the 24th Infantry, clear domination of the Billboard Charts, Basketball, Football, and Boxing for over 50 years, and the US Presidency TWICE despite being gerrymandered, segregated, systematically fucked over on housing, employment, incarceration rates, voter tampering, public assistance, medical care, school districting and funding and countless other socialized and institutional hurdles…after all of this African Americans shouldn’t just be treated as equal. They should be treated as some of the best and brightest this country has to offer HUMANITY. And yet the opposite happens CONSTANTLY. It’s not justifiable. It’s not defendable. It’s shameful. Don’t get it twisted.
And it’s more than just us being treated this way. It’s more than just our problem. And together, we are better than this.
While we had protests and Civil Rights Movements in the past (which were important and effective), we challenged and won by using the resources that were at our disposable. Anything we could use to press ourselves forward. But now, we live in 2016. Our resources are endless and have even been detailed before on this very site you are reading on. I do not refer to “Afro-Futurism” as our future. I like to just call it THE FUTURE. Because we have the numbers and the ball is in our court. Let me explain how:
Let’s look at this amazing and fascinating example called HullCoin that has been in the works for two years in a small city in the UK called Hull.
Hull has been in economic decline for years and has hit a powerful state of poverty due to a national recession and a welfare reform falling over a community. So, you would think that Brexit would cause it to finally break, right? Wrong. The community worked together to create their own cryptocurrency, the previously mentioned HullCoin, which keeps their money within the local economy and untouched by larger companies that don’t return investment. The money has been dispersed by a small congregation of community officials to the disenfranchised who perform “good deeds” in the community. The money is being used for people to have stable lives of paying rent, buying food, transportation, etc. This is the opposite of what is known as a fiat system, which gains money by banks ramping up debts and interest, causing communal chaos and hierarchy struggles. This money is built on social justice, communal government and powered by it’s own users.
Remember our FanBros Cryptocurrency article? [WARNING: You may need to read that to understand the rest of this article.] Well, at the end of that article, I touched on the subject of saving refugees with Blockchains and people starting a revolution by no longer being controlled by their governments? Well, let’s just say that’s very relevant, right now. Because in case you didn’t know, attacking us and hurting us has been revealed to be quite profitable for our local and national governments. Click here for a major example of the statistics on this.
So, if protesting this isn’t being effective, we should simply take their money away. We live in a digital era where the value of an electronic dollar overshadows the American dollar by an embarassing amount. This is the same dollar that is decentralized, non-regulated and doesn’t have established means of being taxed.
So, to bring an example of how this can work, let’s create a fictional coin called ZamundaCoin.
This particular coin can be invested in by anyone for however much of an amount that individual wants. By anyone, I mean a garbage man, a bar tender, a hot dog vendor. Anyone. While their money is invested, within the U.S., it takes them quite some time to create a regulation/auditing system to tax it, so it will legally exist and be dispersed to the disenfranchised. If enough people invest into this, the coin works as a stock. By simple nature of volume of being geared towards the less fortunate, the volume would noticeably rise on the market, causing investors to notice and value to soar. And with the addition of new blockchain miners within our community jumping on to this new currency, it could actually make profit from itself.
So, how would people use it?
This is where we wouldn’t have the option of being strangers yelling at one another, anymore. We would need to organize. This can happen in small community settings or by websites. But, we’d need to provide a central sub-economy to trade goods. Food, clothes, household items…all of these items could be purchased with the digital coin. Even if two individuals needed to swap money in person, it would be possible through phone applications designed like Coindesk or Google Wallet: Instantaneous and without fees.
So, how would the government try to stop this if they’re not seeing a cut?
Well, they would regulate the shit out of it. They would try to make ZamundaCoin and all of it’s transactions a quickly taxed currency across the nation. And it would be. It would lose. But, we could just as easily make a clone of it, WakandaCoin, and continue our cycle while WakandaCoin is chased for new regulations. We would only continue to win.
Obviously, this wouldn’t be the only tactic. Property value would rise and a new mortgage crisis would occur. Taxes would sky rocket in USD but every problem has a solution. Even if it isn’t immediately clear.
What would be the major uses of a coin like this?
It would be OUR money to make a difference with. To help charities. To hire privatized internal affairs investigators for rogue branches of police districts and governments. To be safe and decentralized without anyone knowing who or where these transactions are made. To thrive as a community without feeding the beast. To inspire our culture to take in our own businesses, entertainment and opportunities. And if necessary, we could still convert our money back to USD or any other currency.
Who would govern this?
An option that is available would be to use SmartContracts, which can set parameters inside of the blockchain(stay with me! This becomes easier to understand!). A smart contract creates a rule that we agree upon as a community, applies it to the blockchain(banking system) and continues to apply it to all of the currency transactions. It’s money built on a democracy for the people, by the people, controlled in a non-corrupt manner. And decentralized to never find the source. A bank, where if integrity tested, can never be broken into or corrupted.
To say I know everything about what is required of us to do this would be a lie. I want to open these forums to arguments, suggestions, ideas and revelations alike. I want people to feel passionate about the fact that we can take steps towards making a distance that our grandparents couldn’t even dream of. We are THE MOST POWERFUL generation of our family tree and we can embrace this any day we choose to start to work together.
Because, I don’t want to look at pictures of this and think of them as stats I used in an argument, anymore. I want these to be the faces I can look at and tell a kid: “They gave their lives so we could start a Wakanda.”
