Reinvent Yourself with Phil Darius Wallace (VIDEO)
You have the power to reinvent yourself. As Phil Darius Wallace notes you have to always remember, “You are the fire…You are not stuck”.
Actor, Director and Performance Artist Phil Darius Wallace gave an incredible talk at TEDxMemphis that you absolutely must watch right now. We mean it–stop whatever else you’re doing and watch this because this may change your life. During the talk he speaks about how tragedy and self-destructive behaviors tore him down and what he did to find the spark to reignite his inner flame.
Wallace is a native of Flint Michigan but has been adopted as one of Memphis’ own. At an early age he fell in love with the dramatic arts. His first professional job was with the Michigan Shakespeare festival as Calaban in Tempest. He has acted in theaters around the country including, Memphis’ own Tennessee Shakespeare Company where he is one of the founding members. For twenty years he has been performing one man shows in schools across the country. His most popular show, “Self Made Man: The Frederick Douglass Story,” performed to rave reviews Off Broadway.
Phil Darius Wallace is also, of course, a friend of FanBrosShow and was a previous guest on our podcast. After you check out the TED talk, listen to his episode here: https://soundcloud.com/fanbros/ferguson
