Real Life Batarang That Works
From real life Iron Man suits to giant Gundam-inspired mechas, fans and artists alike strive to bring their FanBros dreams to reality. Victor Poulin actually made it happen.
Poulin, a boomerang enthusiast decided to put his expertise to good use and create a workable Batarang. Yes. An actual Batarang-styled boomerang that when thrown comes back to you. Clearly the idea itself isn’t new or super excitable, but for me this is the first time I’ve seen it executed as elegantly as I’ve imagined it.
There a two versions–a humongous Batarang Boomerang at a 25 inches (that’s a little over 2 feet) and a smaller one that a hair less than half that size. Both Batarangs (“Batari”?), when handled by someone with at least legit boomerang throwing skills, work like a charm. The product is made of 10-ply birchwood, carved into a slick Batman design. According to Victor’s Youtube page, he’s selling the small one for a cool $55 (no mention of the price of the bizzaro huge one). He will ship in the U.S. and overseas. Check out the two video’s below of the small fry and big fry Batarangs:
