Ready or Not, RWBY’s Back!
Confession time: When this Deadly Diva first heard about RWBY, I was skeptical. This Deadly Diva did not think that Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang would hold my interest. It didn’t matter that they were students at Beacon Academy, an ancient school designed to train the monster-slayers known as Hunters and Huntresses because it did not look or feel like the anime I normally watched. However, one cannot claim the title Anime Czar and not give it a chance. Thank the goddess that this Deadly Diva indulged. Girl power mixed with incredible fight scenes that take a massive dump on Dragonball’s speed lines were just the combination to capture the attention of this Deadly Diva. Did I mention magical unmasked Kakashi is the headmaster? That’s right. Magical Kakashi guides our heroines as they cultivate their skills as Huntresses.
After three seasons, the ladies of Team RWBY find themselves trying to recover from outside attacks and internal strife. Tensions are high, lives have been lost, and the members of Team RWBY… are divided.
What? You still haven’t caught up with RWBY? For shame! Seem this Deadly Diva is compelled to be benevolent. Here is a glimpse of Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang, and the story of their journey to become protectors of the world of Remnant.
Now that you are up to speed, let’s get back to the narrative. It’s been several months since the Fall of Beacon and the world of Remnant is still recovering. Each of our heroines faces a journey of their own. This Deadly Diva maintains a spoiler-free zone, so all I will say is keep a box of tissues handy while you catch up.
Season 4 premieres October 22, 2016 but if you can’t wait for your RWBY fix, check out this Deadly Diva’s interview with Barbara Dunkelman, voice actor for Yang Xiao Long.
