What’s good Fanbros, welcome to the weekend. Between Marvel dropping new trailers for Age of Ultron and both GDC and PAX East happening at the same time, there was plenty of news and announcements to keep fans excited for months to come.

If you have not played Crossy Road you are probably on Windows Phone or Blackberry. Everyone else knows it’s that super simple addictive game, that keeps drawing players in with it competitive Friend list based leaderboards, best described as unlimited Frogger. Dave Tach profiles the creative minds behind the game and its nontraditional Free-to-play structure.

Inside baseball here, for the last few weeks I have been doing some research on wrestling for an upcoming feature on Fanbros. During my travels, I came across this dope documentary by Massachusetts filmmaker Elliott Marquis. Black Sam’s Statue is a fascinating look at the life of Viro Small AkA “Black Sam” possibly the first black professional wrestler.
“The Truth Behind The POWER/RANGERS Short, And How You Helped Save It” by Meredith Woerner
Last week, the collective internet loss its shit for Joseph Kahn’s POWER/RANGERS short. Who else loss their shit? Haim Saban, the billionaire owner of the franchise, who was not a fan of the “dark as fuck” reimagining of the beloved children’s show. For few days, the short was pulled from Vimeo and YouTube. Worry not, it’s back online. If you missed the short for whatever reason, peep it, then check out this interview with Kahn by Meredith Woerner. The two go over the creative process around the project, why he went so dark and why Saban was quick to come to an “agreement” to allow the short to come back.
