New Justice League Trailer Revealed at NYCC17
Justice League Trailer
At 9:00 A.M. on the last morning of New York Comic Con 2017, Warner Bros. debuted the “Heroes” trailer leading up to the November 17 release of Justice League. The movie will continue the trilogy started with 2005’s Man of Steel and followed up in Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Directed by Zack Snyder initially, finishing touches on the film were done by Avengers director and Buffy creator, Joss Whedon when Snyder chose to sit out the remainder of the film after a family tragedy. With Whedon’s involvement comes also legendary TV and movie Composer, Danny Elfman to compose the film’s score. Justice League appears to have made a complete tonal shift, feeling, looking, and sounding more heroic, compared to the moody guitar riffs and dark visual tones from the first trailer.
Justice League premieres November 17th in North America, and may be the last movie in DC’s Extended Universe, with the company choosing to focus on standalone films going forward. If this is the last time we see these iconic DC characters standing together, let’s hope that Joss Whedon can end the ride with the same energy he used to help Marvel Studios start the show in their first ensemble film.
