The MTA to replace trains with Warp Pipes?
Because navigating the NYC subway wasn’t hard enough…
While the MTA won’t be making any substantial changes to the subway or the subway map anytime soon, Robert Bacon, a Chicago-based artist and improv actor, went ahead and recreated the entirety of the New York Subway map in the image of Super Mario World. The map comes in two sizes: 18 x 24 and 24 x 32 and sells on RiptApparel.com for $25 and $45, respectively.
I personally think that it’s frickin hilarious that Bowser’s castle is on Staten Island. Also, Robert’s last name wins the Internet.
Robert has previously created Super Mario-esque maps for the Chicago train system and neighborhood.
