Michael B. Jordan Burns Another One in Fahrenheit 451 Teaser, Coming Soon From HBO!
Even before the mega success of Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan has been ensconced in the collective minds of moviegoers the world over. Expect Jordan’s star to continue to rise after HBO’s upcoming adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s dystopian classic, “Fahrenheit 451.” Originally written in 1953, Fahrenheit 451 is a modern update of a future society where book burning is the law. Jordan would play Guy Montag, a Fireman whose job is as literal as it gets. Not only are books burned, but anything that doesn’t contribute to society’s decidedly ignorant and Hedonistic ideals meet a similar fate. Michael Shannon plays Beatty, a fellow Fireman, and Montag’s superior.
“Fahrenheit 451” is regarded as of the great American dystopian novels, sharing company with other classics such as George Orwell’s “1984”. The made-for-TV movie, directed by Iranian-American Ramin Bharani seeks to tackle the themes of willful ignorance, the deliberate suppression of fact, self-medication and a various others topics that may hit too close to home for some. In keeping with today’s much needed changes within the Entertainment media, there are a variety of multi-ethnic and diverse roles filled in front of camera, as well as behind the scenes — Representation shouldn’t be a concern.
Fahrenheit 451 stars Michael B. Jordan (Creed, Fruitvale Station), Sofia Boutella (The Mummy, Star Trek: Beyond) Michael Shannon (The Shape of Water, Man of Steel) Martin Donovan (Electric Dreams, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) Grace Lynn Kung, (The Expanse, Star Trek: Discovery) Keir Dullea, (2001: A Space Odyssey, Law & Order) and Lilly Singh (Bad Moms, Ice Age: Collision Course)
