Internet Fun with Tatiana: Daft Punk Console by @Dathink
Back in 2001, a French Electronic duo by the name of Daft Punk released a tiny album by the name of Discovery–which went on to sell millions of copies world wide and become a social phenomenon. Of this album, one of the cult hits of the generation “Harder Better Faster Stronger” (HBFS) was borne. The song permeated the pop culture space with such incredible fury that it even inspired Kanye West to sample the hook on his song, “Stronger”, six years later on his album Graduation (back when Kanye first wore and popularized the shutter shades).
All of this is to say that HBFS continues to be a classic tune and one that will continued to be much loved by the masses and, of course, the Internet. Recently, developer Malik Dellidj took his love for coding and Daft Punk and merged them together to create the DaftPunKonsole, a foray into all that is creative and electronic with Tron-like colors, clean design, and great sound.
Upon reaching the site you are asked to choose between QWERTY, AZERTY, or QWERTZ keyboard layouts (the console is meant to be enjoyed via keyboard input only). The rest is simple as the on screen keyboard serves as guide to let you know which key does what. Hit the space bar to start an instrumental version of HBFS. For each layout the aforementioned keys will trigger a word from the lyrics of HBFS to play and be displayed on screen. You can even change the pitch and tone of the lyric keys using the Y, X, C, B and N keys. The combinations and possibilities are endless for your own Daft Punk remix. Hit up the site now and enjoy!
