The Final 13 Episodes of Clone Wars Will Air on Netflix
The Star Wars: Clone Wars cancellation was one of the first casualties of the Disney Star Wars acquisition. Many working on the series at Lucas Films were reassigned to the recently green-lit Episode VII which was being rushed into preproduction at the time.
While the second Clone Wars series may have started off rocky with a poor movie and two uneventful seasons. Since season three, the show has been an excellent watch. Season five being the definitive high point both narratively and emotionally, the reassignment of production priority meant that a full season and a proper series finale would not be possible.
A disappointing ending to an excellent show for sure, fans are still in luck. The final thirteen episodes, titled the “Lost Missions,” will premiere on Netfilx March 7th. Along with the final episodes, the previous five seasons and select director cut episodes will be streamable as well. Not really a bad consolation.
