The final E3 conference was Nintendo’s Direct, and they hit with one of the biggest announcements of E3 this year. The rest of their Direct was kind of lackluster though. Let’s take a look.

    E3 Day 4 – Nintendo Direct

New Super Mario Party Looks Intuitive

A new Super Mario Party is on the way October 5th, and in it is some very creative uses for the Switch. Mario Party has always pushed the boundaries of what you can do with a Nintendo console, but the extra versatility of the Switch is definitely being put in use for this. You can watch the trailer for it here.

    New Xenoblade Chronicles 2 DLC

New DLC is on the way for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, titled ‘Torna: The Golden Country‘. It looks pretty cool and features some very beautiful locations by the looks of it. You can watch the trailer here, it’ll be released on September 14th, but the packaged version is out on September 21st. The packaged version doesn’t contain the main game for whatever reason though, so take that into account.

Fire Emblem Finally Coming To Switch

Fire Emblem: Three Houses will be Fire Emblem’s Switch debut, and it doesn’t look like it’ll disappoint. You can watch the trailer for it here. Expect it to be out some time in Spring 2019.

    Fortnite On Switch

Not much to say about this one. It’s Fortnite, but on Switch. It’s also available right now, and of course, it’s free. Go ahead and drop in with your gang while you’re on your way to work. You can see the trailer for it here. Fortnite is actually looking more fun than ever, so now’s a fantastic time for this.

Hollow Knight Is Out On Switch Today

Beautiful Metroidvania game, Hollow Knight, is out on the Switch today! You can check out the launch trailer for it here.

As The Title Suggests, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Is The Ultimate Smash Experience

So Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was the biggest announcement out of Nintendo’s Direct, but boy, was it worth it. Everybody RSVPed for this one. Every character that has ever been playable in Smash is going to be playable in Smash Ultimate. All of them. Nintendo described it as the biggest crossover in gaming history and they were not lying.

    The full roster is:

Metroid’s Ridley will also be making its debut. The game will also work with Amiibos and Gamecube controllers, which are both essential at this point. Eight player battle will also be returning to the game. You can see the full reveal here, they also discussed mechanical changes to the game.

Other announcements include Overcooked 2, which got a trailer that you can watch here. An official trailer for the Mario+Rabbids DLC, Donkey Kong Adventure, which you can watch here. An announcement for Killer Queen Black, which you can watch here. Finally, an announcement that Dragon Ball FighterZ is coming to the Switch, which you can see here.

That was Nintendo’s E3 Direct, it was just okay. The Smash reveal was easily the most exciting thing that happened, but everything else was alright. And with this, I thank you for keeping up with E3 via Fanbros. You can find all recaps for E3 here. Stay tuned to Fanbros for more E3 coverage.
